I am crazy for Matte Lipsticks. I opt them for every season and occasions. I recently received Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick The Mats lipsticks in my mailbox. One among them is Yves Saint Laurent – 207 ROSE PERFECTO
So I thought why not do a review on it.
I agree they are expensive but when it comes to pigmentation and longevity they are one among the best.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick The Mats comes in 8 shades. The formula is described as “light and covering, the matte on lips, does not feel too drying on lips and has an exceptional gliding effect.”
I received two lipsticks. But I will be reviewing Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick The Mats – 207 ROSE PERFECTO for now. And another one may be in my next post.
Color: This shade is named “Rose Perfecto”; and this is the most perfect shade of rose.
However, this is the true rose color, pretty pink, quite hot, yet fresh and muted; and with subtle purple undertones. It is almost the same shade of pink rose. This shade would look ravishing on everyone with Indian skin tone.
Texture: this fragranced lipstick smooth’s on like a traditional cream lipstick, and adds full color in just one coat. After a few seconds, it wears like a traditional dry matte lipstick. Because this lipstick is creamy during application, I advise pairing it with any Lip liner, but feathering and bleeding are a non-issue because of its truly matte nature once it sets.
The only real let down is the extremely limited shade selection.
Comes in a luxurious packaging, comes in a beautiful gold mirror like case box as well as bullet which gives a rich, classy finish to the lipstick.
PROS:
- Richly pigmented.
- Applies easily like a cream lipstick, but sets to a long-wearing matte finish.
- Wears for several hours before requiring a touch-up.
CONS:
- Very limited shade range.
- Pricey.
