For every girl who can post an Instagram video of herself applying a gorgeous cat-eye in mere seconds, there are 10 girls out there who are struggling to even apply just a straight line of regular eyeliner.
Let’s be clear: we all women love some drama when it comes to our our eyes. And that’s one thing i love about makeup, you can change your whole attitude by just doing your eyeliner differently. So what better than rocking a flawless winged liner?The more we practice,the luckier we get!
Well, as the saying goes, “Its not how we make mistakes, but how we correct them defines us” well in this case, it defines the eyeliner! *giggles* 😀 😀
So today I am going to mention a few ways on correcting the usual mistakes we all make when it comes to applying the eyeliner, be it simple or winged!
First things first. Always, make sure you have a pencil sharpener on hand if you are using an eyeliner pencil, or a clean eyeliner brush for a cream or liquid liner.
To keep your eye makeup lasting all day, use an eyeshadow primer before applying your eyeliner. Make sure to rub the primer near the lash line where your eyeliner will be.
So now you knwo the basics of this art. Lets get to the second part. While applying an eyeliner, always begin the application from the inner corner of the eye, working towards the outer end. This gives a smooth look to the eye, rather than a harsh-overdone look when you apply it vice versa, ie, outer to inner end.
Now whilst we are learning to overcome such obstacles in our eye game, there are always going to be some ups and downs and by that i mean, the mistakes that we tend to make in a hurry! Yes those amateur yet not so friendly mistakes.. But relax, instead of washing off your entire eye makeup, you can try these tips which will not only save alot of time but also your patience.
Here’s a few techniques you can try.
1. Made a mistake? Get yourself some cotton swabs, dip them in makeup remover, and easily clean up the line.
2.You can also clean up with concealer or the regular foundation,by dabbing it on a que tip,instead of disturbing the rest of your eye makeup.
3.If you are wearing an eyeshadow, then you can wait for the eyeliner to dry and then with a brush you can just cover up the faulty line with the same shade of the eyeshadow you have on the eyelid.
4.If you happen to be one of those people who like to curl the lashes, then keep in mind that you must do it before you apply eyeliner. The curler can smudge your line a lot.
