This bag is absolute beauty. Its made of leather and has gold hardware(padlock) with MK on it.I own Michael Kors Hamilton Saffiano in color Luggage, I have been using this bag for 4 months now and have been using it regularly. So thought I am in a good position to do Michael Kors Hamilton Bag review.
This Hamilton style from Michael Kors has really taken off and this style comes in many different sizes. It comes in Large tote version, satchel version, mini version and finally messenger size. Also comes in various colors. So if you like this style, you would probably find something suitable to your need.
Outer Appearance & Features:
As they are made of leather, they are well structured, durable and easy to clean. The best thing is I don’t have to worry about using it in Harsh weather. Other versions in Hamilton come with golden embellishments and studs on it (more bling on it). 😉
The handles aren´t so big to hold them on your shoulder, however it also has a long strap consisting of leather and towards end gold hardware on both the sides. The strap can definitely be worn on your shoulder. It has four feet with MK engraved on it.
This bag has alot of gold bling and I like that. It has a luggage key tag near the padlock which contains the key to the lock. And I was surprised that the key works on the lock and when you remove the lock, the tabs under the lock can be opened and that makes the bag pull out wider with more space. That’s a really good feature in my view, when you actually carry more than you thought.
Inner Appearance & Features:
Inside, it is layered with a cream cloth with MK written on it, has two pockets on both the sides and zipper pouch on one side. Apart from pockets it also has holder, which can be used to securely hold your keys, purse etc.
The Michael Kors bags have really nice organization system so you don’t have your things flowing all over the place in your bag.
Finally, my LIKES and DISLIKES about the bag.
Likes
- It’s a multipurpose bag in my view, can be used for school or to work.
- I do like the organization system on the inside.
- I love the material of the bag.
- It holds alot, all of my regular purse items along with the iPad or books or makeup bag.
- I need not be extra cautious about the bag getting dirty or wet.
- It comes with a dust bag to store it when not in use.
- As they are of various sizes and colors, so it attracts different kind of audience, as everyone has something for oneself.
Dislikes
- It’s a pretty heavy bag with all the metal hardware and heavy leather.
- Its not a right bag to go for shopping if you are going to hold the bag for a longer time with things in it.
- If you are used to a bag that’s not so structure bag or like wider opening bags you might find this bag little restrictive.
When nothing is perfect in this world then how can this Michael Kors bag be, it has limited limitations. 🙂
Finally, if you are wondering if this bag is for you then I will highly recommend it. I totally adore this bag and its totally durable. Even after me using it for four months it still looks NEW.
